The Hass supply set new records in Europe in January, and especially in February. The Mediterranean sources reached their respective peaks, which were higher than in previous years. Chile, Mexico and Colombia remained present, with above-average volumes. A slight wavering in demand was observed in January, exerting some pressure on the more abundant small sizes. Nonetheless, prices dropped only slightly, remaining above average. In February, despite a still substantial supply, the market regained a good balance thanks to better demand, with some tension for medium sizes. Prices started to strengthen in mid-February. For green varieties, rates also strengthened because of the Israeli Pinkerton supply which was high, but beginning its seasonal fall.
