Still on the rise
While the net supply in March 2019 saw no change from last year, the net supply for Q1 2019 did mark another increase: + 3 %. Of the 166 000 tonnes placed on the French market over the first three months of the year, it was the French industry which exhibited the best dynamic. This origin was a long way up on March 2018 due to the expected post-cyclone comeback, while the dollar zone (- 20 %) and above all imports via another European Member State (- 67 %) slammed on the brakes. Over the period, re-exports went up by 4 points. Over twelve months, according to French Customs, the market touched on the symbolic 650 000-tonnes mark.
