Despite the logistical disruptions which have shaken the latest South African shipments, volumes gradually decreased throughout the month, to levels 8 % lower than last year. In the face of this, from mid-September, thanks to listing in the supermarket sector, Mexican grapefruits managed to assert themselves on the market. Hence the transition between origins went smoothly, albeit small sizes (50-55) were prevalent. Although sales remained quiet, prices strengthened slightly without any significant differences between origins.
