The Hass supply to the EC market subsided slightly in February, though it remained 16 % greater than in February 2019. The Mediterranean origins dominated the market. Incoming Israeli shipments were at their peak, slightly higher than last season (+ 4 %). Spanish volumes too made a bit of a gain, with slightly higher levels than in 2018-19. In addition, Colombia exported 20 % more fruit to the European market. The other origins registered drops. Incoming shipments from Chile started to wane to levels below the 2018-19 season (- 13 %), while Mexico continued to ebb (- 62 % on 2019). Although sales were perceived by the operators as quiet, they were sufficient to maintain market stability. Prices remained stable overall, and 1 % higher than in 2019.

On the green varieties market, the Mediterranean supply waned to a level 38 % lower than in the 2018-19 season. Prices strengthened slightly, remaining above average (+ 4 %).
