The 2020-2021 campaign beats the production records of the last ten years with nearly 37,500 tons. This performance is explained by a particularly marked positive alternation effect and by the constant progression of the orchards (1609 ha in 2020; +7%/ four-year average). Production will be more limited in 2021-22 (32,000 tonnes forecast, i.e. a drop of 15% compared to 2020-21). Nevertheless, given the growth in surface areas, the next harvest should remain close to the averages (-3%/ four-year average). Finally, although the first volumes are expected at the beginning of November, the market context could be less competitive than in 2020-21, in particular, because of the expected shortfall in Spanish heart-of-season clementines (see the potential of the Spanish campaign).
