The US market leapt up by nearly 9 % in January 2023. Apart from Guatemala (- 5.4 %), all the other main origins supplying this market rose in sometimes astounding proportions, such as Ecuador (+ 29 %) or Honduras (+ 43 %). The organic share went up by 0.3 % to reach 12.3 %. On a twelve-month sliding scale, the market withstood the world supply shortfall, indeed gaining 0.3 % to 4 079 000 tonnes.
