The passage of storm Filomena this weekend, accompanied by snowfall, has caused significant logistical problems around the Valencian Community and Madrid. The supply of Spanish fruit and vegetables to the European market is therefore likely to be disrupted at the start of the week. On the production side, avocado orchards have been spared and according to initial estimates, damages to oranges (last Naveline and Navel, Salustiana, late juice and table oranges) and easy peelers late hybrids remains isolated. However, the cold spell is not over yet, as night frosts are still expected in the next few days.
