Users’ rights and obligations

Cirad is the exclusive owner of all intellectual property rights relating both to the structure and content of the site  www.fruitrop.com.

The content of the site www.fruitrop.com is intended strictly for personal, private and non-collective use, on an open-access basis for the free content, and on a subscription basis for the paid content. The same principle applies to the RSS feeds and newsletters. Any reproduction other than for the private use of visitors to the site, in particular with a view to public distribution, by whatever medium, is strictly prohibited without the written authorisation of Cirad.

Visitors are responsible for the interpretation and use of the data they view, as well as for the information that they submit in forms. It is up to them to adhere to current regulations.

For personal information, visitors must adhere to the recommendations of the French National Commission for Data Protection (CNIL).

In particular, it is prohibited to copy information from this site and use it for commercial or advertising purposes.

All rights of reproduction are reserved, in France and overseas. All photos published on this site are either owned by CIRAD, or used with the permission of the authors, solely for the CIRAD website.

Personal data

In the course of their contact with Cirad, which is responsible for data processing, the user may have cause to divulge personal information. Such information may in particular be collected upon taking out a subscription, creating an account on our site or signing up to a Newsletter.

The personal data processed relate in particular to:

  • Surnames, forenames and title;
  • Postal address, e-mail address and telephone number;
  • Information required to deliver an ordered product;
  • Information required for invoicing an ordered product;
  • Login and password used for signing into the site;
  • Encrypted information relating to your payment method (in particular your bank account number);
  • Commercial prospecting options;
  • Any other information that you would like to bring to our attention.

 

These data are reserved for the use of the department concerned, and may be communicated only to the following recipients: agents of the Markets and Innovations News Service.    

These data shall be kept for a maximum period of two years.

The legal basis for the data processing is, on the one hand, the legitimate interest of the site www.fruitrop.com to distribute its Newsletter, and the consent of the subscribers who have signed up to receive it; and on the other hand, the execution of a subscription contract requiring processing of the personal data mentioned above.

In accordance with articles 49 et seq. of French Act no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on Data Protection, as well as articles 15 et seq. of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (GDPR), any individual may:

-          Obtain confirmation that their personal data have or have not been processed, and if they have, obtain access to said personal data

-          Demand that their personal data be rectified or erased

Any individual may also, for legitimate reasons, oppose the processing of their personal data.

Any individual may provide general or particular instructions relating to the archiving, erasure and communication after your death of their personal data.

Warning regarding the use of Google Analytics (transfer of personal data outside of the European Union)

This site uses Google Analytics, a website analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse use of the site by visitors.

The data generated by cookies concerning your use of the site (including your IP address) will be sent to and stored by Google on servers located in the USA.
