Relative calm despite a record production level

2014 will be a record harvest year for the world’s two leading suppliers to the counter-season avocado market, namely Peru and South Africa. Nonetheless, subdued Californian production and growing consumer appetite, both in the United States and Europe, should enable these two markets, which take in most of the world’s supply, to remain balanced, with good basic price levels.
