The stone fruits studied in this article are the cherry, apricot, plum, peach and nectarine. While the trade in each has not followed the same trajectory over the past twenty years, a general trend can be discerned. Europe and North America are on the wane: despite continued growth, these regions are registering a slower rate than elsewhere. Asia is the growth market for all these fruits, while the Southern Hemisphere is maintaining its commercial weight, with rates around the average. We should also point to changes in export destinations worldwide.
