A major production shortfall, but in a highly particular market context
The Mediterranean citrus harvest will see a distinct shortfall in 2022-23, with abnormal climate conditions causing big drops, especially in the region’s major producer countries. The volumes available for the EC market (expanded to include the UK) are set to be restrained, with some of the main suppliers hard hit.
