September was a reset for the US market. After exceptionally high supply levels in August 2022 (+ 4.7 %), the reverse trend prevailed in September, with a drop of 6.3 %. Over the first nine months of 2022, the US + Canada market was down by 9 %. Only Guatemala and Honduras obtained positive figures. All the other origins plummeted, like Costa Rica which actually had a 23 % drop. The organic segment was down by more than the rest of the market, with negative growth of 2.2 %, for a market share of just below 12 %. Over twelve months, the US market lost 0.9 %, reaching 4 041 000 tonnes, i.e. the worst performance since 2013-2014!
