Although citrus fruits still rank third in the world fruit flows behind bananas and stone fruits, the annual growth rate has gradually weakened (0.4% on average over the last 4 years against 3% for bananas). Indeed, the reality within different citrus families shows significant disparities. While the small citrus and lemon markets continue to perform well, the others are stagnating, as in the case of oranges, or are even in a recession, as in the case of grapefruit.
