However, 2022 has started with a major deficit, a direct counterblow to the big production peak at the end of 2021. Indeed, according to professional data for the month of January, exports to Europe fell 13% below average and 5% below 2021. Despite particularly rainy weather during production, the delay was quickly made up. As of June, the cumulative Colombian supply for the first half of 2022 is at the average level of the last two years. From the peak in March, volumes returned to average, and thereafter the seasonal decline was more gradual than usual keeping arrivals above average between May and June, respectively 7% and 10%.
