This is according to the forecast of Procitrus, the association representing Peruvian citrus producers. The export potential should be around 130 000 t, a level very similar to the 127 000 t exported in 2016. Easy peelers should make up the bulk of volumes. This forecast does not reflect the expanding cultivation area: approximately 1 000 ha per year are due to enter production until 2020. Sizing is set to be down on last season.
