Pineapple production in Costa Rica is currently going through a "natural blooming" phase. It started in week 21/2021 and should last, depending on the production areas affected, until week 25 or even 26. Taking into account the transit time, the Costa Rican pineapple supply should be more consistent on the European markets between weeks 23 and 28. The European market is therefore set to receive an influx of pineapple at a time when demand, captured by the supply of seasonal fruit, is losing interest in the fruit.
