Madagascan litchi

The Baltic Klipper with the first shipment of litchi from Madagascar docked at the port of Marseille on Saturday 4 December to unload the first batches. The ship then set sail again for Zeebrugge. However, disrupted by bad weather conditions in the Atlantic, which suggested a significant delay, the ship was diverted to the port of Port-Vendres where a second third of the cargo was unloaded between Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 December.

9 December. The Baltic Klipper finally resumed its route to Zeebruge to finish unloading during week 50. The second ship, the Atlantic Klipper, is expected to reach the Belgian port before the Baltic Klipper and unloading will start on 14 December.
