Corsican Grapefruit

While the Floridian and Texan campaigns are becalmed in a sluggish context due to the additional 25 % taxes charged on entering the EC market, the Corsican grapefruit is enjoying the best possible augurs for its arrival on the French market. With an expected 6 000 tonnes (3 000 t of which in the organic segment), the 2021 harvest registered a 50 % rise from the previous one (4 000 t in 2020). Sizing is set to be average, with a high concentration of 40-48. While the first organic grapefruit shipments have already started, they should pick up in week 8. Regarding the conventional segment, the first shipments are expected in week 10.
