The supply to the European market remained distinctly in the red in the 1^st half of 2022, at 2 % down on 2021. A good dynamic in May (+ 3.1 %) and June (+ 1.3 %, without counting the probable upward revision in the next update) was unable to reverse the steep downward trend from February, March and April. Over twelve months, the downturn in volumes consumed was limited to just 1 %. In June, it was European, Caribbean ACP and Belize’s production which came undone, while imports from Africa (big surge from Cameroon) and the dollar origins were highly dynamic. Colombia and Costa Rica registered very good performances in June once again, unlike Ecuador which has now posted a four-month decline.
