Corsican Clementine

Open/Close Shop

The Corsican Fine Clementine was no exception to the positive alternation effect in production, which was very marked for all Mediterranean origins. According to the first professional estimates, shipments were 24% higher than those of the 2019-20 season (21,000 tons in 2019-20 vs 26,000 tons in 2020-21). Despite an advance in maturity, the quality remained globally good for most of the season. However, it was weakened by heavy rainfall in December. Grading remained average (concentrated around size 3 and 4). Nevertheless, despite the fluidity of sales, prices fell by 24% compared with the 2019-20 season due to a general oversupply of small citrus fruit.
