A study conducted by the University of East Anglia (Norwich, United Kingdom) on a very large sample and over a long period has demonstrated that women whose diet included fruits such as the apple, grape and citruses (in fresh or juice form) had a lower risk of developing ovarian cancer. This phenomenon is reportedly due to the protective role of flavonones and flavonols, abundant in these fruits.
