The Australian industry is confirming its upsizing process. The review of the 2017-18 campaign, recently published by Avocado Australia, shows production constantly increasing, now approaching 80 000 t. The projection drawn up by Avocado Australia for a harvest of 115 000 t in 2025 appears fully credible. Growth remains strong, in North and Central Queensland, as well as Western Australia province. Given this surge, Australian professionals are planning to step up their exports. The share of this outlet, currently marginal, could increase from 5 % to 10 % by 2021. Source: HAL
