The export forecasts for the winter season are already set to be historic, with levels 30 % higher than for the 2018-19 campaign. This growth should be credited to the young cultivation area, approximately 18 000 ha strong, coming into its prime. Exports will still almost entirely be focused on the EC market, even if the US sanitary protocol is easing off and new markets are opening up, such as Kuwait, Argentina, Japan and China.
