The litchi trading campaign started in week 43, with the receipt of the first air-freight batches from South Africa. These small volumes comprised Third Month Red litchis, which sold on a footing of €9.50/kg. This early variety quickly gave way to Early Delight in week 44, available at the same price. The still restrained shipments should expand in the coming weeks, with the first Mauritius variety litchis. The Reunion and Mauritian campaigns should begin in mid-November.
