Lean supply and prices on the up

The Mediterranean origins continued to ebb throughout April. At the beginning of the month, some Turkish batches were still available, but they quickly sold out. Spanish volumes decreased, driving prices down. Israeli shipments also subsided, with prices remaining unchanged throughout the month (17 % above average).

The Floridian grapefruit campaign finished as it had started, with volumes well into shortfall (17 % below average), and historically high prices.

In France, from week 14, fruit from Corsica gradually established itself on the market at good price levels.
