Demand in December remained quiet overall. In the run-up to the end-of-year festivities, the grapefruit was quickly abandoned in favour of other fruits, with a slow sales tempo. The supply was dominated by the Mediterranean origins. Spanish volumes remained in shortfall, while Turkish and Israeli volumes maintained moderate levels. Prices strengthened a little to slightly above-average levels. Regarding the tropical grapefruit, given the absence of Texas on the EC market, volumes exported by Florida were slightly greater than in 2018. Prices remained stable, at still exceptionally high levels.
