From September 2016 to August 2017, the exportations of fresh pineapples from Costa Rica have broken a new record, reaching 2 086 000 tons. This season has outperformed the historic 2013-2014 campaign (2 073 000 tons) which was also a catastrophic season in terms of value, in particular on the European market.
