In spite of the downturn in mango export capacities arising from this year’s less favourable weather conditions, and the alternate bearing phenomenon, Peru is set for an early campaign. The first air-freight batches should be received in Europe within fifteen days. Initially limited, the supply should progress in the second half of November and more strongly in December, leading to possible competition against Brazilian mangos already established on the markets. However, the limited air-freight capacities and their prices could play a regulating role in the merchandise flow.
