The Peruvian Hass export potential is slightly bigger than forecast, according to a new estimate by Prohass. It could reach 473 000 t, i.e. approximately 13 000 t more than the initial forecast, and 100 000 t more than in 2020. Conversely, the harvest could be slightly smaller than expected in South Africa where, moreover, the local market is considerably stronger than in previous years. The export potential is now estimated at 16 million boxes (as opposed to 16.5 million boxes, as per the initial forecast).
