The world’s number one banana port is too small! The terminal will be expanded by 11 hectares in order to be able to better manage an increasing number of banana containers. This increase is not only due to the continuing trend of conventional freight being replaced by container freight. It is also to cope with the big increase in Cavendish exports since 2014.
